| Here's
an article sent by one of our customers to Yachting Monthly
magazine. Unfortunately they didn't print it.
Dear
Sirs,
This
is the first time after 15 years of reading your various magazines
that I have bothered to contribute some information for other
readers.
I
recently purchased a second hand boat, a Wauquiez 40 Pilot Saloon in
Nieuwport,
Belgium, this is another story in itself. I needed this boat to be
quickly transferred down to the Morbihan where my other boat a
Moody 36 had already been sold and was waiting for me to arrive to
clear all of my bits and bobs to the new boat. By using the
internet and your magazine I found an organization called Skippers
and Crew run by Jon Rose and his wife. They gave me very
competitive and genuine easy to read quotation which I accepted,
and advised them of the approximate dates for the delivery. Their
service was exemplary, they arrived by foot, on time (looking
slightly weary after a 3 mile walk), they then proceeded to check
all the equipment on the yacht even though the surveyor had only
just left. They produced up to date charts, electronics and took
complete control of all matters nautical.
It
was a pleasure to sail with them and it meant that I was able to
spend all of my free time learning about my new craft and enjoying
a good sail without the normal levels of responsibility. I highly
recommend their service to any other yachtsmen who traditionally
sail short handed, but is looking at a long crossing where youth
and experience are required.
I
would be grateful if you would print this article as I am sure
many of your readers would benefit from this information.
Should
you require any further information my mobile telephone number is
*************.
Kind
Regards,
Tony
Kelly
